A simple and economical device for demonstrating the effect of atmospheric pressure. The apparatus consists of two plastic hemispheres about 100mm in dia, both having handles at their top. One of them has a plastic stopcock for pumping out air and releasing vacuum and a rubber O-ring seal inside. The lightweight plastic construction makes them easy to handle and convenient to use. Can be connected to any suitable vacuum pump for evacuation.
