Lenz Law, Mechanical
Catalogue No: 1070850/1
Lenz’s Law apparatus is a simple and effective way to demonstrate electromagnetic induction and Lenz’s Law of electrodynamics. The metal loopes (one open and one closed) can move freely on a centrally mounted pin. On introducing magnetic field in the closed loop, it induces electric current and a resultant magnetic field that opposes the introduced magnetic field. Which can be observed from the moving fo the closed loop away from the magnet. No such phenomena is observed with the open loop.

Leslie’s Cube
Catalogue No: 1061080/1
Useful for qualitative activities in thermal radiation. The results can also be quantified using a suitable radiation sensor facilitating investigation of emission and absorption of radiation from different surfaces at a same temperature or radiation from a single surface at different temperatures (Stefan-Boltzman’s Law). Comprises a sheet metal cube of sides about 130mm with opening at the top for pouring in water and inserting a thermometer through a holed rubber stopper. Each of the four vertical faces is finished black, varnished, roughened and polished.

Lever Balance
Catalogue No: 2012080/1
The scale is in the form of a quadrant. The index pointer is of edge reading type, specially designed to avoid parallax errors, which permits the viewing of scale from any convenient position. Leveling screw provided for zero adjustment. Once zero is set in any range, no leveling is needed for zero adjustment while changing range since zeros of both the ranges correspond to each other. The detachable top pan is made of CPSS with a hook at its bottom for specific gravity work and suspended weights.
* Dual Range : 0-250g x 1g and 0-1000g x 10g with changeover in range can be done through hinged weight arm.Pack of (Pcs): 1

Light Box & Optical Set
Catalogue No: 1110740
Enables comprehensive range of optical experiments involving reflection, refraction and colour mixing. The kit designed around a well ventilated light box, consisting a light source of 12V, 36W having vertically straight filament lamp. Incorporates an adjustable collimating lens towards one end for producing convergent, divergent, or parallel light beam, with other end having triple aperture system for colour mixing experiments. Adjustable hinged mirrors along both sides of the box facilitates colour mixing of all three beams. All apertures in the box are provided with vertical channels to hold slits plates and colour filters. A two core flexible connecting lead terminating in a pair of 4mm insulated banana plugs to connect it to low voltage AC power source.
The complete optical set includes:
* Set of 5 Acrylic Blocks (Prisms): one each of rectangular, semicircular, equilateral triangular – 60 Degree x 60 Degree x 60 Degree, triangular: 90 Degree x 60 Degree x 30 Degree and right angled triangular : 90 Degree x 45 Degree x 45 Degree. All blocks are free of optical imperfections and sharp edges.
* Set of 3 Acrylic Cylindrical Lenses: one double concave, one double convex (both having same radius of curvature) and one thick double convex.
* Set of 3 mirrors, highly polished reflecting surfaces and free standing. Includes one each of parabolic, semi-circular and plane glass (mounted on stand)
* Set of 2 slit plates, black – one with three narrow slits and one narrow, and other with four narrow slits and one wide slit.
* Set of 8 colour filters, mounted: 3 primary colours : one each of red, blue and green, and 5 secondary colours: one each of cyan, violet, orange, yellow and magenta.
* Set of 8 Coloured Cards: one each of red, blue, green, violet, orange, cyan yellow and pink. All acrylic blocks and lenses, cylindrical and parabolic mirrors provided with finger grips, enabling their handling without touching their active optical surfaces. The bottoms of all refractive components are frosted to minimize internal reflections and revealing the path of light as it passes through. Supplied complete with a spare bulb with complete set housed in a moulded styrofoam case.
